I have curly/wavy hair. It's not thick or anything. I want to straighten it with my hair straightener. I used a Chi hair serum product before but it was a little too oily and shiny. I'd pretty much prefer a cream based product to put in my hair prior to straightening it. I think I used frizz ease products before but it wasn't all that great. I have very very long hair and the ends are a little dry. Any suggestions please ?Can someone please suggest a very good serum/cream to put into hair prior to straightening?
I have the same hair type as you! I use Redken's Smooth Down Heat Glide (along with a chi iron) and it's the one product in my regimen that I could never go without. It gets rid of frizz and makes my hair appear soft, silky and healthy. I put a little extra on my ends and they look so conditioned and smooth. What I love best is that it won't leave your hair looking greasy if you don't wash it for a couple days. Just 2-3 pumps will do and the bottle lasts forever. I've had it for half a year now and it's not even half empty. Do you use a quality flat iron? This is just as important as the products you use. Give it a try and I don't think you'll be disappointed! Can someone please suggest a very good serum/cream to put into hair prior to straightening?
First I would start off using a very good shampoo and conditioner. I love bed head's control freak line. It's green and smells like pineapple. As for a ';prep'; for your hair before straightening I would spray a little of ';flat iron'; by fx special effects. Concentrating on the ends of your hair. Then use ';Crazysleek'; by Got2b schwarzkopf. It's like a cream spray. It helps your hair keep the straight look longer. Your hair will not be weighed down or oily looking. Even thou you said you don't like the serums, I would still recommend using biosilk after you have straightened your hair, but just put it on the ends of your hair. It will get rid of the dryness on the ends of your hair so it will look just as healthy as the rest of your hair. Oh, and after you straighten I would use an aerosol hairspray lightly all over to keep your look.
I use Got2B heat protection Serum.
It works. It has a nice smell. And it protects my hair from damage.
All my friends said it smells like CottonCandy.
It's not greasy or oily.
