Does sanyone know of any drugstore brand creams or serums that really help for firming the skin and stuff of that sort? I have a few but I want to know what other people are using that actually work.Face creams and Serums?
drugstore brand? hmmm, the only drugstore brand i use is walgreens hand lotion, doesnt really do much, especially after you wash your hands, but works ok before you wash it off, like over night. trouble is you want it to stay soft afterwards too, and it doesnt :-(

i think your best bet is to opt for something more costly, since you want firming and not just moisturizing. my mother swears by nivea cream. doesnt do poop for me, though *shrug*.

Definitely because wrinkles will start appearing in your 30's. Prevention is the key because once you get them, there is no turning back. And at 30, you have a long ways to go before you should be concerned. Watch how much sun exposure you get and enjoy life.

I was using a ';mild'; 30% glycolic product to lessen/reduce acne scarring and overconcentrated on a scar between my eyebrows. Now I have a burn/scar the size of a quarter. I've been treating it for the past two weeks with topical Vitamin E and Vitamin K but still no change. Is this going to be a permanent scar/burn? Or will it fade over time? i hate my hair naturally, its wavy and thick and uncontrollable, so i straighten it, this makes it easier to manage and appear thinner, also i like the straight style. i have a straightener, but sometimes i dont have time, and i just wish there was a cream, serum, shampoo, conditioner, SOMETHING that could actually straighten my hair until the next wash. im not talking about SMOOTHING my ahir, im talking about straighteneing it, so the waves are gone, it doesnt have to be flat-iron straight just so there is no waves left..

But i can tell you that no eye cream will immediately take away puffy eyes. Try this : Mash half a banana into clean dry skin and leave it on for 5 minutes. rinse well. the mask will leave your skin feeling baby soft while the potassium in the banana will help erase any under eye circles. try putting a warm cloth over you eyes to improve circulation. A good nights sleep never hurt either.

you need to drink a lot more water, i have puffy eyes at times, they improve dramatically with a litre or more of water a day. Dont use heavy creams under your eyes, try SBC collagen gel, it is brilliant. The best way to do this is to apply cold to the area - this causes bodily reactions in that area of the skin resulting in tightening of the epidermal layer. The effect will wear off after a while... but you can keep doing this throughout the day, if you have to.
As of yet, this is the only sure-fire way to reduce baggy eyes without surgery. The eye serums and creams simply reduce the APPEARANCE of bags...

You can't get rid of aging saggy bags when you're at forty or even earlier if you do a lot of physical and mental work especially when you lack sleep. Hence, when you are approaching the age of forty, you need to start doing face massage using some olive oil during bedtime. Don't go out under the sun without using your smoke glasses to prevent these wrinkles too and affect your eye bags appear more prominent as you age beyond forty. It's but natural for us to look our age and it will be abnormal also if we face lift or undergo surgery at the age of fifty. Just accept that we need to look old when we really are old. What I can only advise is ';Just delay your aging process by using some creams or oil, daily face massage, eat healthy food, do some exercises and have a positive outlook in life.

The best way to do this is to apply cold to the area - this causes bodily reactions in that area of the skin resulting in tightening of the epidermal layer. Then i comb my hair to lay flat against my head. When my hair dries, I can either ';mess'; it up with my fingers, which creates the soft Spike look. I am 21 years old and I'm starting to notice the fine lines that start to begin at this age, nothing serious, just minor things that I would like to start preventing from getting worse. 1.Start using a moisturizer that contains at least SPF 20. This will help prevent further damage
2. For an artificial glow use Clean and Clear morning burst daily glow lotion. Something in it reflects light and makes your skin look very ';glow-ey'; (the reflected light helps mask flaws as well). Another bonus is the fact that it contains SPF too.
3. Wrinkles form from the breakdown of collagen. There are two big things that help prevent this breakdown.

i have wavy hair. it's actually quite manageable..except when i straighten it, it gets damaged and it doesn't make me happy at all seeing as the split ends will end up looking like highlights if i keep straightening it. ha.

I heard a lot of people say monistat is good but im scared to use it since its not meant for eyes. What besides the concealer do you guys use to reduce the appearence of eye puffs, darkness, fine lines. I am 21 but i dont like how concealer and foundation sinks in and makes fine line obvious.

Possibly, put you should test them both seperately first.
Rub a small patch of one into your inner forearm (say the serum) and wait 12 hours and see if you get a reaction. The test the other one (eg the cream), and then test both (serum and crean together, still just on a small patch of arm).

I would try frizz ease by john freida for coarse hair. It comes in the dark purple bottle. Basically you ring out your hair after you get out of the shower, put the frizz ease in, and then style your hair as usual. If you were going to leave it curly I suggest this product called Curl Power- it comes in a small tub and it's gold and sparkly but of course you can't see that on your hair. It works great. If you are just going to blow dry it straight, get something like a spray from Thermasilk that protects your hair from the blow dryer. Speaking from experience %26amp; having tried ALOT of products. I use Keracare. Mixed race hair can be difficult to find products for some ';white'; products are too light %26amp; Some ';black'; products too harsh.This is why im fond of Keracare it caters for the ';in between';

What's the difference between a facial serum and a moisturizing cream?
Usually a facial serum has more stuff to it that will basically try to even your skin tone, maintain youth, decrese age spots and so on. A moisturizing cream usually will just moisturize your skin so it doesn't get dry after washing it unless it says other wise. Usually serums have both moisturizing and some of the extra stuff I mentioned. If you wash your face daily and everytime after makeup use, a good moisturizer is all you really need to maintain that healthy skin glow and to slow down the process of wrinkles. as serum is a concentrated formula, and i guess you could call it food for your skin. a moisturizer is just that, a moisturizer. it keeps your skin healthy and from being dry. after you wash your face... use the serum and then your moisturizer. if the cream or lotion doesnt have spf... dont forget to apply one as your last step!

I tried Palmer's Scar Serum but i find it incovenient because if i apply it during daytime, my whole face is very shiny and sticky! and if i apply it during nightime, the formula just sticks all over my pillowcase!Has anybody used palmer's scar serum for acne scars? If you want to even out your tan and lighten it i suggest a whitner aswell. there are alot out there. I've got a very similar hair type and found the magic formula to keep in in control. It's a product by Redken (available in salons) called the Fresh Curls Curl Refiner - I use the shampoo and conditioner too, I think it helps . It's a cream that you smooth into wet hair. I just let my hair air dry after it. Sometimes, if I use a diffuser, I also use the Redken Ringlet 07 styling gel to scrunch into my hair. Makes a WORLD of difference!

What is a good night cream or serum??
I would preferrably like one which will combat early signs of aging ( i am only 25 but those pesky wrinkles will turn up sooner or later!!) and revitalise my skin - sort of a rejuvenating serum or something....i have heard that Estee Lauder Night Repair Serum is pretty good but its also very 拢拢拢拢拢拢拢! estee lauder night repair is great and definately worth the money. clarins moisture quenching cream is also great but that is quite expensive too (its around 拢45). the old saying you get what you pay for really does apply here though. if you want something that really works youll have to pay that bit extra.

It comes in a small clear bottle with a black cap and has a slick and silky consistency AND a little goes a VERY long way on lighter textured frizz. PLUS...long time use improves hairs condition. If your hair is coarse, gradually increase the amount til hair feels coated, but NOT greasy. When you learn the right amount, SHINE never weighs down your hair. Sometimes, I use a little less and then spray my wet hair with Pumping Curls, by Loreal, let it get a little absorbed then comb my fingers or a large tooth comb thru and let dry. You can use a hair dryer too, but I don't like them. SHINE will defiantly protect from drying heat, though. Anyway, my hair dries into perfect curls, no matter the weather. If you have time, you can also pull it back when it's wet and let it dry in a knot for really silky, looser curls.
I wouldn't spend the sometimes $10+ on the other stuff recommended. SHINE is the exact same product as some pricier names, but I never see it for more than a couple of bucks.
Frizz ease is one choice but can be a bit pricey, for a cheaper option avon advance techniques serum is quite effective.
Dove has a new one...it is really good.

I have fine naturally curly hair, colored, and my preference for anti frizz (which I've needed a lot of lately!) is a combo of Super Straight smoothing gel and for good curls Instant Recall by Abba. On really humid days I also use the Super Straight shampoo and conditioner by Pureology. It's expensive but worth it and also guards my color! Hope this helps!

Is it okay to use Obagi-C Clarifying serum at night before Obagi night cream?
I have started using the Obagi-C RX system. According to the directions, the Clarifying Serum should be applied in the morning. However, the serum tends to make my face look shiny. hey i had the same promblem so trim your ends and i also done a bit of research for my own hair and ill give it to you here are some home remedies which are very good for dry hair. i had dry hair myself but when i tried these tips it was great! they've never been dry again!
Dont go out and buy anything expensive.
First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)
Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)
Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a ';little'; honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)
Beat up on an Egg: Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, and whip the white thoroughly. Then add 1 tablespoon of water to the yolk and blend until the mixture is creamy. Next, mix the white and yolk together. Wet your hair with warm water, remove the excess moisture, and apply the egg mixture to your scalp with your fingertips. Massage gently until the froth is worked into your scalp, and then rinse the hair with cool water. Keep applying the mixture until it is used up. Continue to rinse until all of the egg is washed away
Go for the Mayo: Heat up one half cup of mayonnaise until it becomes an oily, white goo and apply to dry, unwashed hair. Cover your hair with a plastic bag and leave on for at least 15 minutes. Then, rinse and shampoo thoroughly.
Mix up a Tropical Treat: Mash one over-ripe banana (the blacker, the better) with a mushy, rotten avocado. Massage this exotic puree into your hair and leave on for at least 15 minutes before washing out鈥n the kitchen sink!).
Grab a Cold One. Beer can give your dry hair a healthy sheen. Before you blow-dry or style, use a pump bottle to spray brew onto your hair. The beer will leave your hair shiny and sleek and its odor will disappear quickly.
In addition to using these home remedies regularly to avoid dry hair, try the following preventative measures:
Avoid overshampooing. Shampooing can wash away the hair's protective oils, so try washing less often and use a mild shampoo labeled ';for dry or damaged hair.';

Wear a hat. Too much exposure to wind and sun can leave hair thirsty.

Ease up on the heat. Heat (in the form of blow dryers, as well as straightening and curling irons) can quickly dry out hair. Let your hair air dry occasionally. Try using plastic cylinder rollers to straighten hair by wrapping slightly moist hair under and around rollers for about 10 minutes. For curling, try using sponge rollers overnight or sleeping with moist braids.
Don't swim without a cap. Use a rubber cap to protect your hair from the damaging effects of chlorine. If you must forgo a cap, rub a spoonful of olive oil into your hair before diving in.

Another thing is also putting in lotion in your hair after you have gotten out of the shower and you can also put in lotion in hair after you have dried it.
Just rub some lotion on your finger tips and run it through your hair evenly.
Also, something that will help your hair is to take COLDshowers. What most people dont know is that if you take hot showers, the heat gets rid of the oils and other things that your hair needs to be kept healty and shiney.

Then apply some to your scalp and the rest on your hair. Massage for a minute or so then put on a plastic cap. Leave for 15 to 30 minutes. The avocado and jojoba oils will moisterize and the peppermint will stimulate your scalp to loosen any dead skin and open your pores. It will feel great. Your hair will grow better and won't be dry. :)

I'd try Bed Head Ego Boost, it's kind of goopy, but its really moisturizing. I have curly frizzy hair, and I straighten my hair a lot, which drys my ends out. I always put the Ego Boost on my ends to keep them moist. It's 14.99 a bottle but it lasts a really long time. Plus it smells fun and fruity
Get the ends trimmed (your hair cannot heal no matter what is used or claims to work) and start using products to help strengthen and prevent breakage. I used to get split ends a lot. I switched to using Suave Biobasics conditioner and I haven't gotten any since. I go months between hair cuts and still minimal breakage occurs by the end of that period. You can ask your stylist what you should use, I just experimented on my own though since what they recommend is usually really expensive stuff and I found something for cheap that is working great.
