Face creams and Serums?

Does sanyone know of any drugstore brand creams or serums that really help for firming the skin and stuff of that sort? I have a few but I want to know what other people are using that actually work.Face creams and Serums?
drugstore brand? hmmm, the only drugstore brand i use is walgreens hand lotion, doesnt really do much, especially after you wash your hands, but works ok before you wash it off, like over night. trouble is you want it to stay soft afterwards too, and it doesnt :-(

so...

i think your best bet is to opt for something more costly, since you want firming and not just moisturizing. my mother swears by nivea cream. doesnt do poop for me, though *shrug*.

have you tried olay? dove? neutrogena? roc? hope this helps. :-)

I am 30 and no wrinkles yet..do I need anti-wrinkle creams, night treatments, serums, etc.?

Definitely because wrinkles will start appearing in your 30's. Prevention is the key because once you get them, there is no turning back. I would say use a moisturizer with an spf (at least) because the sun is the #1 sign of visable agingI am 30 and no wrinkles yet..do I need anti-wrinkle creams, night treatments, serums, etc.?
#1 rule for wrinkle-free skin: Limit or avoid sun exposure. I've always worn sunscreen and I look 8-10 years younger than I really am. I'd look even younger if I had just avoided the sun in my youth. Sun damage starts to show at about age 25.

Also, ALWAYS wear sunglasses when you are outside. One summer I lost mine and never got another pair...in just that short period of time, I noticed the first signs of crow's feet. I was 28 years old. Luckily, I've been very careful since and they haven't gotten too much worse.

I wouldn't bother with any anti-wrinkle stuff yet. I would look into a light moisturizer w/a sunscreen for day and a good cream for nighttime. Also, get a product made specifically for your eye area. When you are 35, step it up to anti-aging products. Oil of Olay and Dove have some wonderful products for now and for later.I am 30 and no wrinkles yet..do I need anti-wrinkle creams, night treatments, serums, etc.?
you need to take a deep breath and relax. Remember the difference between pride and vanity? Seriously, why worry about such a simple thing. A mature woman, looks better than a ';young'; one anyday. And at 30, you have a long ways to go before you should be concerned. Watch how much sun exposure you get and enjoy life.
of course you do, you should atleast moisturise!!! and if you do, its not guna harm u using anti wrinkle stuff! it will prevent it, i use anti wrinkle creams and im 19!! be good to your skin, or it will show!!! x
I've always heard using moisturizer before u really need it is the best way to go
It depends on how well your skin is holding up in the sebum department. The wrinkles could very well hit you suddenly if you don't take preventative measures. Just pay attention to how oil production is changing in your skin and adjust your routine to that.
  • sensitive skin
  • Can a face look uglier without using night creams, lotions, serums??

Physically look uglier? Can a face look uglier without using night creams, lotions, serums??
No,if you drink a water enough, sleep enough, no smoking, and you are vegetarian, I think your skin will stay healthy without lotion.

our skin has its own prevention, and its regenerate itself, but skin care/lotion/serum can help it to work better, for example you want to lighten your face, make it radiant or look younger..maybe you need it.. ;-)Can a face look uglier without using night creams, lotions, serums??
Yeah! and I don't know if you really care that much but I am thirteen and I already use anti-aging creams every night it is best to start young before it is too late!
I only use day creams and at night, I let my skin rest....
    yes
    yea!

Overapplication of glycolic acid left burn mark on face: anyway to get rid of (creams, serums, etc.)? Thanks!?

I was using a ';mild'; 30% glycolic product to lessen/reduce acne scarring and overconcentrated on a scar between my eyebrows. Now I have a burn/scar the size of a quarter. I've been treating it for the past two weeks with topical Vitamin E and Vitamin K but still no change. Is this going to be a permanent scar/burn? Or will it fade over time? Better yet, is there anything I can do to speed up the healing process? I appreciate any and all recommendations.Overapplication of glycolic acid left burn mark on face: anyway to get rid of (creams, serums, etc.)? Thanks!?
Try using hydrogen peroxide on the area. The body produces cells called fibroblasts and these are what create scars. Hydrogen peroxide breaks down the scar tissue formation and promotes healing of the area. You cannot over treat with peroxide, a couple times a day morning and night lightly scrub the area with a soft cloth or cotton ball soaked in the peroxide and you should see results in a week or so.

Get straight hair using ONLY serums, creams, shampoos, conditioners?

i hate my hair naturally, its wavy and thick and uncontrollable, so i straighten it, this makes it easier to manage and appear thinner, also i like the straight style. i have a straightener, but sometimes i dont have time, and i just wish there was a cream, serum, shampoo, conditioner, SOMETHING that could actually straighten my hair until the next wash. im not talking about SMOOTHING my ahir, im talking about straighteneing it, so the waves are gone, it doesnt have to be flat-iron straight just so there is no waves left..

    PLEASE HELP!

Get straight hair using ONLY serums, creams, shampoos, conditioners?
There is no way to do this, without using a chemical straightener. You should have a haircut that suits your hair type, and use styling products that work with your natural hair.
